NETA Conference Presentation

"3D Printing - Is It Really That Simple?"

May 06, 2025

Mr. Becker, Jarrett Jones, and Kimpton Kumpf had an amazing opportunity presenting to educators at the NETA conference in Kearney. Their presentation, entitled "3D Printing - Is It Really That Simple?"

We attended the Spring NETA Conference in Kearney Nebraska May 1, 2025. The conference is a way for teachers in Nebraska to learn about current technological hardware and software
available to teachers. Some teachers are selected to give a presentation on the type of technology they are using in their classrooms. I was selected to give a presentation on
integrating 3-D printing into elementary classrooms. Since we use 3-d printers at Meridian, I spoke about the process we use for designing and printing our creations. Jarrett and Kipton
demonstrated to the audience how to create and print a sample product. They talked through the design process and the slicing and printing procedures for the type of printers we use. It was a good experience for them to be able to show the abilities they have in this field.
